The revolutionary Saber Bass VL Models are high performance, professional basses designed with the exclusive and patented Optical Pickup System, making the Saber's tone and playing experience unlike any other bass. The Saber VL is superbly crafted, with a Swamp Ash body and a premium AAA flame maple top. The reinforced neck is a 34-inch scale, three-piece laminate of rock maple with a custom composite black basswood two octave fingerboard and a flame maple headstock veneer matching the body. The instrument is finished in stunning high-gloss natural or transparent color and a satin neck. The hardware is black chrome, and the bridge is a unique custom carbon/graphite monolith, an individual assembly for each string which also integrates the transducer system. The Saber Bass is a lightweight, comfortable design that is familiar in feel, revolutionary in concept, and inspiring to play. The Oscar Schmidt OG10CE is a great choice for either kids or adults with a smaller frame. The concert sized guitar, while quieter than the dreadnought, is a much more comfortable guitar to play.
